The idea behind the Co-op is a simple one:

Provide a space where anyone who shows up, no matter who you are or where you come from, can learn to fix and maintain their own bicycle, side by side with others in the community.

Many people in Lansing don’t own cars, and public transit doesn’t reach everywhere. Getting to work, school, the doctor, the grocery store, or time with family is essential. At the co-op, we help neighbors meet these everyday transportation needs by sharing bikes, tools, and repair knowledge.

We don’t hand out bikes or do repairs for you. We work alongside you so you can keep yourself rolling. If you need a bike, you’ll find help here. If you stay to learn and help others, you become part of what keeps this place alive.

Together, we help each other get where we need to go.
